Honeywell FC-PUIO01 Safety System
Universal Dispatch Solution provides standardized dispatch for central and distributed installations using signal conditioning assemblies. Signal conditioning assemblies handle 16 I/Os including disconnect, fuse (default), and optional insertion of signal conditioning adapters (SCA) when needed, including isolation, intrinsic safety, relays, and other functions. SCA supports standardized cabinet assembly and wiring configurations, eliminating the need for custom wiring.
UMS unique features include:
Three levels of flexible field termination are provided to meet various field wiring requirements.
Signal conditioning adapters plug into USCA, eliminating the need for separate installation of isolators, relays, signal converters, and isolation barriers.
USCA has built-in (optional) fuses and knife-type circuit breakers for easy equipment installation and maintenance.
D-Sub connectors are available on USCA for connection with IOTA.
USCA is powered in the field via the System Integration Cable (SIC) of the safety IOTA.
Optional power connector is used to power the active signal conditioning adapter.
Optional 16 plug-and-play signal conditioning adapters.
Vertical mounting improves wiring efficiency, as most field wiring applications require access from the top or bottom of the cabinet.
LED indicators provide quick visual cues to alert maintenance technicians to important status information for relays and active signal conditioning adapters.
The USCA combines multiple functions in one:
Plug-and-play adapters for optional signal conditioning.
Onboard flexible process signal termination.
Onboard secure IOTA connection.
Onboard field power distribution.
The USCA receives 24 V DC power.
Field disconnect.
Field fuses.

Features
Universal Signal Conditioning Assembly - The CC-USCA01 is a backplane assembly that accommodates 16 signal conditioning modules. Field terminations for each channel feature integrated fuses and knife disconnects. Safety system-side interface is provided via a single bulk termination cable (SIC) that connects all 16 channels. The CC-USCA01 is DIN rail mountable.
Universal Pass-Through Adapter - The CC-UPTA01 is a single channel pass-through module that allows direct connection between safety system field terminals (live and return) and field devices. This module does not require an external power supply to operate.
Digital Input with 5K Resistor Adapter - The FC-UDI501 is a single channel digital input module with 5K resistors for digital input devices without EOL. The outputs connect to field devices and the inputs connect to safety systems. This module does not require an external power supply to operate.
Digital Input Relay with 5K Resistor Adapter - The FC-UIR501 is a single channel relay input module with 5K resistors for wet contact applications. The relay coil ends connect to field devices and the contact ends connect to safety systems. This module does not require an external power supply to operate
Digital Input Relay Adapter - The FC-UDIR01 is a SIL 3 single channel relay input module for low voltage applications. The relay coil side is connected to the field device, and the contact side is connected to the safety system. This module requires an external power supply to operate.
Digital Output Relay Adapter - FC-UDOR01 is a SIL 3 normally open single channel relay output module for low voltage applications. The relay contact side is connected to the field device, and the coil side is connected to the safety system. This module does not require an external power supply to operate.
Digital Output Relay Adapter F&G - FC-UDOF01 is a SIL 3 normally open single channel relay output module for low voltage applications. This adapter is capable of driving high current field devices. The relay contact side is connected to the field device, and the coil side is connected to the safety system. This module does not require an external power supply to operate.
Three-wire Analog Input Adapter - FC-UAIA01 is a single channel analog input module that supports three-wire sensors. This module requires an external power supply to operate only when used in three-wire mode. This module is connected to the UIO module of the safety system.
Sink Analog Input Adapter - FC-UAIS01 is a single-channel analog input module that supports source sensors. This module requires an external power supply to operate. This module is connected to the UIO module of the safety system.
Digital Namur Proximity Switch Adapter - FC-UDIN01 is a single-channel digital input module for digital proximity switches. The output is connected to the field device and the input is connected to the UIO module of the safety system. This module can operate without an external power supply.
Digital Namur Safety Proximity Switch Adapter - FC-UDNS01 is a single-channel digital input module for digital safety proximity switches. The output is connected to the field device and the input is connected to the UIO module of the safety system. This module can operate without an external power supply.
Analog Input Isolation Adapter - FC-UGAI01 is a single-channel analog input isolation module for intrinsically safe analog input devices. The output is connected to the field device in the non-safe area and the input is connected to the USIO module of the safety system. This module can operate without an external power supply.
Analog Output Barrier Adapter - FC-UGAO01 is a single channel analog output barrier module for intrinsically safe analog output devices. The output is connected to field devices in the non-safe area and the input is connected to the USIO module of the safety system. The module does not require an external power supply to operate.
